For more than 20 years, Lily & Alice has been part of Chicago — founded by two sisters, Lily and Alice, who shared the same love for timeless fashion and the women who wear it with confidence.
Growing up together, we were surrounded by women who understood style in a different way. Our mother and grandmother never dressed for every passing trend. They chose beautiful pieces that made them feel polished, confident, and completely themselves.
As sisters, we always shared that same appreciation for clothing that felt elegant without being complicated.
As we got older, we began to notice how difficult it became to find that same feeling in modern fashion — especially for women over 40.
Too many stores seemed focused on what was new, young, or temporary. We wanted to create something different: a place where women could find clothing that felt current without losing the elegance that never goes out of style.
So, more than two decades ago, we opened Lily & Alice together in Chicago.
What started as a small local shop created by two sisters became a place women returned to season after season — not simply for clothing, but for pieces they could genuinely see themselves wearing.
